Guru Teg Bahadur Gurdwara, Barari

This gurudwara is located in Barari block of Katihar, which is an important religious place for Sikhs. First of all, Sahib Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji came to Kantnagar Lakshmipur after crossing the Ganges via Patna, Munger, Bhagalpur in the year 1509 during the first Udasi Yatra and preached to walk on the true path by doing satsang. After him the ninth Guru Shri Teg Bahadur ji in this area came and exhorted the people to follow the path shown by Shri Nanak ji. The satsangis of this area were also related to the tenth Guru Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Sikh satsangis of this area also lived with him. Whose mention is mentioned in two orders sent by Guru ji, one Keshavgarh and the other Nachiyana Sahib. In this Gurudwara, orders of historical importance, weapons, handwritten Guru Granth Sahib etc. are safe. Here, festivals related to Sikhism, Khalsa Divas, Prakash Utsav of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Shaheedi Guru Parv of Sri Teg Bahadur Ji are celebrated with pomp, in which thousands of devotees from all over the country participate.
